On Monday, 26th of August, 2019, at CAVINO WINERY at Meganitis Bridge in Aigio, ERFC, Regional Framework for Co-Operation participated in the event “Cinephile & Oenophile”, as part of the “OINOXENIA 2019” event.
In this very crowded event, ERFC had the opportunity to present and discuss with the attendees the project “FAME ROAD”, co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) under the Interreg Greece-Italy VA 2014-2020 programme, and the opportunities it provides for the development of the wider region of Aegialia – among others – as well as its transformation into an attractive tourism destination, based on its 4 main pillars Food, Art, Movement, Energy.
Project’s scope is to improve the capability of businesses to organize and manage complex and integrated tourism offers, services and products based on local natural heritage through indicative actions such as modernizing old slaughterhouses in Aigio, establishing working groups around the themes of FAME ROAD, and implementing targeted actions to promote target areas abroad. ERFC had a tour at the wine cellar of “CAVINO WINERY & DISTILLERY” and took part in the tasting of many wine labels, accompanied by fingerfood. Α film screening of the movie “Love me if you dare”, closed this nice event at an “open type cinema” which set up on spot, in collaboration with “Aigio Cinema Club”.
FAME ROAD is one of the projects funded under the first call of the Interreg V-A Greece-Italy Programme 2014-2020. It is a bilateral cross-border cooperation programme, co-financed by the European Union through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by the two member states (Italy and Greece) with a national share. The Programme aims to define a cross-border growth strategy between Puglia and Greece for the development of a dynamic economy based on smart, sustainable and inclusive systems to improve the quality of life of the citizens of these regions.
