Tonight’s guest is called Evi Dergiade and comes from Middle East Asia, after passing through the teaching desks, as a physics teacher, her multifaceted nature and personality, brought her to the path of Skywalker and since 2019, she is the Community Manager of the successful interface platform with the labor market at the company’s premises in Thessaloniki. I really appreaciate the trust of the Head Leader of Skywalker in Athens, Ms Georgia Konstantinou, who gave us the opportunity to meet us in person and to explore the networking perspectives.
Evi Dergiade is a graduate of the Physics Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a master’s degree in Electronic Physics, specializing in Telecommunications. She has many years of experience in the field of education. Additionally, holds a Diploma in Digital & Social Media Marketing Work. Evi is the head of the Education Community at Skywalker. We have arranged several meeting with the head leader in Thessaloniki, Ms Alexia Foukidou, but unfortunately time we had different projects to run on the same time
I have met Ms Dergiade yesterday in Thessaloniki and P.E.R.S.O.N.A.L.I.T.I.E.S took her a quite interesting Interview. Admirable people are often loyal to their values, ethics and the people who they care about. Loyal individuals possess a faithfulness that guides their actions and allows them to defy odds to uphold the promises they make. This quality of character can help people become more supportive peers, develop powerful allegiances and sustain the commitments they make over long periods of time.Evi is an enthusiastic and creative professional. I really admired her during the Final Event of Circlecon and the JobSchdowing of the Palestinian Delegation of GREENLAND, who was invited as honor guest.
Ms Degiarde has a natural ability for identifying and understanding the first marketing protokol called AIDA because she belongs to the majority of people who are resilient and often have a remarkable ability to process the challenges they face, overcome obstacles and adapt to change deftly.
The AIDA model is just one of a class of models known as hierarchy of effects models or hierarchical models, all of which imply that consumers move through a series of steps or stages when they make purchase decisions. These models are linear, sequential models built on an assumption that consumers move through a series of cognitive (thinking) and affective (feeling) stages culminating in a behavioural (doing e.g. purchase or trial) stage.
The steps proposed by the AIDA model are as follows:
- Attention – The consumer becomes aware of a category, product or brand (usually through advertising)
- Interest – The consumer becomes interested by learning about brand benefits & how the brand fits with lifestyle
- Desire – The consumer develops a favorable disposition towards the brand
- Action – The consumer forms a purchase intention, shops around, engages in trial or makes a purchase
I felt it by the first moment. This lady, is a multitalented person. Having resiliency especially in Enterpreneuer field, can allow individuals to persist toward achieving specific goals, even when others give up. People often admire those with this quality for their capacity to withstand adversity, remain determined and develop creative solutions that help them endure.
Evi Dergiarde can handle a lot of challenges, even during turbulent times, even under pressure and to translating these into effective and results driven solutions. Although I don’t know her for a long period of time, what I have realized during the Final event of Circlecon, which took place at Helexpo, during the frame of Fordward Green Expo is that, she is a lady who has invest a lot in her values like every true leader does.
During our Interview, I saw this phrase in Greek language called:” μονοπάτια επιχειρηματικότητας “.
In this cup of coffee I saw the phrase : “Entrepreneurship Paths” and i has as usually a query .
What exactly kind of activities are taking place there Ms Degiarde?
They are actually seminars based on the entrepreneurship paths that are now established as an institution, since they are held every year. In other words that means that excellent professionals and, people who are active in the business in several ways, social entrepreneurs. They help the participants with various tips on the part of entrepreneurship. It can be an advice, how one can do their own business, for someone who has an already established business, could be suggested to follow a spesific methodology, or innovation tools in order those mechanisms to make it profitable and how one can proceed with all this. It’s like a mini business incubator to say it in a more simple way.
Does the participation cost a fee or is it offered free of charge in the context of the goodwill of businesses for specialized knowledge on business to a wide social group?
No actualy is free of cost and belongs to our values. A wide range of social inclusion to participate in our events and to be educated in different green Skills.
During my research I saw you were the pioneer company in Greece which had organized in 2019 quite innovative events related to the Circular Economy Values.
Yes indeed! We have organized one of the biggest start up festivals that are related on the major issues in the global and business community, that of business sustainability together with the new circular economy production model. It will encourage exchanges of information and sharing of know-how on devising integrated models of sustainable business development.
The activities included:
- a two-day conference on “Business Sustainability”
- 26 entrepreneurship workshops
- Business networking opportunities with the entire business ecosystem
- Presence of startups
- Corner support for start-up companies “Business mentoring” by KEMEL
- GRBossible Entrepreneurship Awards
Amazing effort, if somebody would say that in 2019 only few new about this green transition chalenge that we explore in nowdays!
We’re very active on the action side, whether it’s inextricably linked to festivals, or the social sign, the interaction. We want people to be able to take action! The JobFestival is the most complete job festival in Greece and for the first time it takes place simultaneously in Athens and Thessaloniki.
What is the main purpose of a jobfestival event like this?
Its main purpose is to effectively connect job candidates with employers looking for staff. Specifically, there will be staff recruitment meetings and interviews, networking activities, parallel actions to support candidates in their job search, information workshops on work issues and skills presentation/analysis. Through an innovative way of human connectivity and using all the digital innovation tools that technology can offer to us.
Are you open to new synergies, to expant your network to other countries as well?
Yes we are especially now. We ve’ been approached by some companies in aboard about elaborating new project proposals to be jointly elaborated and submitted under the framework of the New EU Programmes (2021-2027)
what coming next end when?
On September we will start our actions, these are many jobs Days that have to do with different areas, e.g. Kalamaria for Thessaloniki, Mavili Square in Ioannina, Papagou in Athens. Every year we have our biggest event, which is the jobs day festival, where companies are on site and the majority pass an on-site interview. Every year it takes place in a different location. This year it took place in Zappeio, in Thessaloniki it took place at the Ioannis Vellidis Conference venue.
In Greek language you have mentioned the 5 – e that you have as value chart at your company, unfortunately in English language we have to follow another grammatical and orthographical rules mindcet.

Like a Professor, now even more a ans instructor, as a prefessional what really deliver these experience to you throw your activity with Skywalker?
I have gained like you said Ms Kyropouls,experiences, skills, precisely because it is a very wide range of activities, education, volunteering, a moral part and we put a corner stone in helping society , in the field of work. All this knowledge you acquired made me also to become more ecological individual and to follow the Circular Economy mentality, . Now I know terms such as smart Recycling, e- recycling, thanks to Alexander we have a recycling program. He tries to change our mindcet to hink green like he use to say.
My last question for today. There is someone at your work place and you see could be the next comunity manager at Skywalker as a sussesive state. Waht kind of qualifications you wish to have?
I like so much this question. I would like him or hert to be a Teamwork player, to know how he or she has to cooperative in the sense of professional flexibility, contemporary, ethical and innovative and to have a creative design of mentality.
